The appointee will be hired by Professor Shin-ichi Minato and supervised by Professor David Avis and Dr. Jesper Jansson at Kyoto University, Japan. The requirements are to: (a) pursue theoretical research in graph theory and/or discrete optimization; (b) publish research papers in international conference proceedings and journals, as well as conduct presentations; and (c) investigate implementation of the results followed by experimental verification and eventual distribution as open software.
