Click on the top to follow us Technip Energies and SBM Offshore have formally implemented their 50:50 floating offshore wind joint venture dubbed Ekwil. Ekwil is a pure player delivery partner offering a diversified range of ‘series production’ floating offshore wind solutions to meet the growing and demanding needs of energy customers around the world. The JV hailed its two leading-edge technologies — Technip Energies’ semi-submersible INO and SBM’s tension-leg platform Float4Wind — that it aims to bring to commercial deployment. Headquartered in France, Ekwil relies on a core team of 40 specialists, in a fully integrated team, and will be backed by SBM and Technip Energies for project execution. Offshore industry veteran Severine Baudic, formerly managing director of new energies and services at SBM, has been appointed Ekwil’s chief executive.
