As UNDP's official flagship youth empowerment and sustainability advocacy programme, the Movers Programme aims to work with partners to develop youth awareness of sustainable development through the design and delivery of workshops. At present, the Movers Programme covers 22 countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific region.
In November 2020, the Movers Programme officially entered China. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), together with the China’s Soong Ching Ling Science and Culture Centre for Young People (SCLSCC) and the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) has launched the Movers Camp China for Youth to nurture young volunteers through the Camp and empower them to organize and carry out SDGs-themed workshops for a wider range of youth and children, raising people’s awareness of sustainable development.
As of April 2024, the Movers Programme has trained a total of 427 movers, who have held 914 sustainability workshops in China, providing opportunities for 48,330 youth
