Esports and breaking have been confirmed as event program for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 as the proposal by local organizing committee HAGOC was approved by the Olympic Council of Asia on its 39th OCA General Assembly held in Muscat, Oman and online. The two additional disciplines means Hangzhou 2022 will cover 61 disciplines across 40 sports with Esports joining as mind game while breaking classified under dance sport, according to the HAGOC, who briefed the Assembly progress on the preparations of the Games regarding venue construction, marketing, opening and closing ceremony and smart Asian Games among other issues.
