Click on the top to follow us Brazilian drilling contractor Constellation Oil Services has been awarded a pair of contracts worth approximately $1 billion combined by Petrobras for the deployment of two rigs for operations in the South American nation. The charter agreements are for the company’s drillship Laguna Star and the Tidal Action unit — a newbuild drillship constructed in South Korea and owned by Hanwha Drilling. The rigs are expected to start their respective 30-month contracts in the third quarter of 2025 and will be deployed in the Petrobras-operated Roncador deep-water field in the Campos basin.
