Mengtao’s work involves using JWST and large ground-based telescopes to study the stellar populations and the ISM properties of star-forming galaxies at z > 6 and their analogs at lower redshifts, as well as the constraints that galaxies placed on the process of cosmic reionization. Mengtao received his Ph.D. in Astronomy & Astrophysics from the University of Arizona in 2020. 报告摘要 Lyα offers a valuable probe of the reionization of the intergalactic hydrogen.
