Recently, the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall was ranked among the top 50 Chinese museums with international influence in 2023, according to a report released by the China Cultural Relics Exchange Center, the cultural relics exchange think tank, and other institutions. Located at No. 34, Enlongli, Zhongshan 7th Road, Liwan District, Guangzhou (广州市荔湾区中山七路恩龙里34号), the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, with its plaque inscribed "Chen Clan Academy," was constructed between 1888 and 1893. It served as a "collective ancestral hall" built by the Chen clan from 72 counties of Guangdong for temporary residence for clan members preparing for imperial exams, handling official duties, paying taxes, and litigation. The hall covers an area of 15,000 square meters, with a main building area of 6,400 square meters.
