It is their work that inspired me to create this course, with the goal of using data to better understand China. The first is Hans Rosling. Hans Rosling was a professor of international health at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, a doctor (having worked in Africa for twenty years), a public health researcher, a statistician, and a pioneer in data visualization.
