Click on the top to follow us Norway’s long queue of offshore oil and gas field development projects in the execution phase are proceeding well, but recent history shows that the country is not immune to cost blowouts and schedule delays. At the end of 2023, there were 27 field development projects in the execution phase. Of these, 15 were new field developments and 12 were amendments to existing fields. Amendments can be one of three things — increased recovery projects, electrification projects or new reserves being developed for existing fields.
