Many African friends living in China are often asked a curious question by locals: Is Africa hotter than China's sweltering sanfu period, known as the "dog days of summer"? This question was one of the topics explored in the latest episode of China Daily's Youth Power, which aired on Aug 30, featuring seven young people from six African nations. Jenipher Asiimwe, a 35-year-old Ugandan student at the Communication University of China, shared that Uganda's climate differs from China's.
