This position will start in January 2025. The purpose of this position is to study the function and regulation of self-reactive T cells. The Zhang lab at UC Riverside seeks to understand how immune homeostasis is maintained and the impact of aging on the immune system. We employ biochemical and molecular assays, stem cell technologies, single cell multiomcis and systems biology approaches to study the fundamental principles governing the communication between the key players of the immune system, and how the immune system adapts to various environmental challenges such as aging.
