Click on the top to follow us Nasdaq-listed Golar LNG has reached a key agreement with China's CIMC Raffles to convert a liquefied natural gas carrier into a floating LNG (FLNG) unit dubbed as the MK II FLNG. Valued at $1.6 billion, this engineering, procurement and construction contract positions CIMC Raffles to deliver the MK II FLNG vessel by the last quarter of 2027, with annual liquefaction capacity of 3.5 million tonnes of LNG per annum. Additionally, Golar LNG holds an option for a second MK II FLNG unit, with delivery anticipated in 2028, which could further expand their floating liquefaction fleet.
