A novel smoothing technology based on the finite volume method was developed to handle volume filtered fraction and momentum coupling source term. PDE solving procedure can be neglected. This method is faster than other similar methods and it also provides the flexibility of adjusting the smoothing effect. According to standard discretization procedure of laplacian term by the FVM, only one user defined parameter was introduced.
