Join Dr. Shensheng Chen's Research Group at HKUST! Dr. Shensheng Chen, an assistant professor in the Department of
Chemical and Biological Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and
Technology (HKUST), is seeking 1-2 fully funded PhD students (starting
September 2025) and one postdoctoral researcher with flexible-start date. Interested candidates are encouraged to email Dr. Chen via ( shensheng@ust.hk ) with CV and brief
sefl-introduction. About the Research We are a young
research team in CBE department at HKUST. We use molecular
simulations (atomistic and coarse-grained), machine learning, and theoretical
modeling, to understand interesting phenomena occuring in various polymer and
soft matter systems, with perticular interest in the behavior of
polyelectrolytes (charged polymers) and biomacromolecules （proteins, RNAs, etc.,） in bulk and at interfaces. A central
theme in the group is bridging our fundamental understandings to the rational design
of polymer materi
