Frontiers in Immunology 征稿启事 Research Topic: Metabolism and Tumor Microenvironment Nexus in Neuro-Oncology 专刊主题：神经肿瘤中代谢与肿瘤微环境的交互作用 Both cellular metabolism and tumor microenvironment (TME) have become hotspots in neuro-oncology, particularly in understanding and treating brain tumors such as glioblastoma, metastasis, etc. The metabolic reprogramming meets increased energy and biosynthetic demands of brain tumors, where they utilize glycolysis over oxidative phosphorylation for energy production, promoting rapid cell proliferation and survival of tumor cells in nutrient-deprived conditions. The emerging TME in brain tumors, including physical microenvironment, neuron-tumor interactions, immune cells, stromal cells and vasculature, significantly influences tumor progression and therapeutic response.
