Dr. Zhou received his PhD degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at University of Arkansas. During the postdoctoral training with Dr. Andrea Hevener at UCLA, Dr. Zhou published fourteen manuscripts, including two first-author manuscripts that were published by Sci Transl Med and four review papers. Dr. Zhou established his laboratory in 2021 at UCLA and has published 4 corresponding author papers including one in Nature Communications (2022) and one in science Advances (2024). Dr Zhou's research alms to ientify the molecular mechanisms that requlate mitochondrial quality control and metabolic health, as a route toward new translatable treatments to combat metabolic diseases.
