Dr. Meng Wang’s research group in Environmental Systems Engineering in John and Willie Leone Family Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering (EME) at The Pennsylvania State University has openings for doctoral students starting in Fall 2025.  The students will conduct research in resource recovery, nutrient management or environmental sustainability. The potential projects are:  1. Algae-based systems for resource recovery and water reuse  2. Partial nitritation and anammox for mainstream wastewater treatment  3. Biorecovery of energy and minerals from mining waste  4.
