December 22-23, 2024 Peking University HSBC Business School Shenzhen, China Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS), in collaboration with the International Economic Review ( IER ), is pleased to announce the inaugural PHBS-IER conference on “Financial Frictions for Firms and Households: Implications for Economic Development and Government Policies” . It will take place at PHBS in Shenzhen, China, on December 22-23, 2024. The conference offers the opportunity for conference papers to be considered for a special issue of the IER . Dirk Krueger is the editor in charge representing the IER . This conference aims to bring together a set of papers that analyze financial frictions, government policies, and their consequences for macroeconomic dynamics and economic growth. Papers can, but do not have to, focus on the Chinese economy.
