On the morning of June 19, with the final steel box girder welded into place, the Huangmaohai Bridge was officially completed. Sun Wenjin, manager of the engineering department of the project management center, said that this is the second bridge completed after the Gaolan Port Bridge of the Huangmaohai Cross-Sea Passage project, marking the completion of the world's largest three-tower, two-span highway cable-stayed bridge. According to Sun, it was completed 11 days ahead of schedule, laying a solid foundation for the passage to be completed and open to traffic by the end of 2024. The Huangmaohai Cross-Sea Passage is about 31 kilometers long, starting from Gaolan Port in Zhuhai and ending in Doushan Town, Taishan, Jiangmen. The entire project includes two large cable-stayed bridges, namely the Huangmaohai Bridge and Gaolan Port Bridge, two tunnels through Xiangshan Mountain and Shishan Mountain, as well as four interchanges.
