Before that, he finished Postdoc at Caltech CMS hosted by Prof. Yisong Yue, during which he was also a visiting researcher at Google DeepMind. He received CS PhD degree at UCLA, advised by Prof. Yizhou Sun and Prof. Kai-Wei Chang. His PhD research focused differentiable Neural-Symbolic AI, which aims to bridge the learning capability of neural networks with traditional symbolic reasoning. His research has been supported by Amazon Fellowship and Baidu Scholarship, and awarded Best Paper Award in NeurIPS 2023 Workshop (DL + Differential Equation), Best Paper in SoCal NLP Symposium 2022, and Best Full Paper Award in WWW 2019.
