Click on the top to follow us Thailand’s national upstream company PTTEP has unveiled its five-year investment plan, with total estimated expenditure of $33.6 billion, but there is no mention of its keenly observed Lang Lebah offshore sour gas development in its list of Malaysian greenfield projects to be progressed in 2025. The final investment decision for Lang Lebah, located on the SK 410B production sharing contract offshore Malaysia has already been pushed back several times and, most recently, project sanction had been expected in 2025. However, there is increasing market talk that the operator intends to rework some of the front-end engineering and design scope, with the intention of reducing costs of the Sarawak giant sour gas project, which could derail the timeline by another 12 months.
