New metro line connects Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint

The southern section of Shenzhen Metro Line 13's first phase, stretching from Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint Station to Hi-Tech Central Station, commenced trial runs without passengers on August 20, in preparation for its launch at the end of the year. The new line will operate at a maximum speed of 100 km/h. According to line operator HKMTR Shenzhen, during trial operation, the trains will undergo simulated service runs for at least 20 days, following the official timeta ble to ensure all systems meet the necessary operational standards. The first phase of Line 13 spans from Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint Station to Shangwu Station, covering a total distance of 22.441 kilometers and featuring 16 stations.
