MCCCOP9 Registration OPEN!   01 MCCCOP9 Background The environmental challenges brought by climate change are profoundly impacting human survival. Direct and indirect consequences of the climate crisis such as extreme weather, biodiversity loss, and human displacement deeply influence social, economic, and ecological systems in the world. For the last nine years, we have experienced the warmest years on Earth since global records began. In May, several parts of India set new records of the highest temperatures over the past five years, with temperatures spiking up to 50 degrees. On July 2nd in Moscow, the capital of Russia, temperatures reached 32 degrees, breaking the highest record for the same period over the past 134 years.
