PhD student in environmental chemistry at the University of Cincinnat i The Niu Emerging
Contaminants Lab ( https://sites.google.com/kaust.edu.sa/niu/home ) at the University of Cincinnati is interested
in recruiting 1-2 graduate assistants (MS/PhD students) in the areas of emerging
contaminants and photochemistry: Position-1: Environmental
photochemistry and UV-photolysis. Desired experience/interest with natural
organic matter, photochemistry, GC-MS, and environmental transformation
processes (this position will be funded by SRC and the student will join as an
SRC Research Scholar). Position 2: PFAS
fate and transport; desired experience/interest with DFT, microplastics
chemistry, molecular simulation, interfacial sciences, and LC-MS analysis. Other qualifications include: 1. A BS
degree in environmental sciences, chemistry, environmental engineering, soil
science, chemical engineering or a related field. 2. Excellent
