Customs disclosure policies benefit enterprises, yet firms need to assess policy applicability to avoid future issues. By丨 Feng Wang,Anyi Wang,Anqi Fan In this article, we examine a real-world case that demonstrates how China’s customs voluntary disclosure policies offer great benefits to enterprises. Despite these benefits, however, it is crucial for enterprises to evaluate the applicability of these policies to mitigate any potential adverse effects on their future operations. In recent years, customs authorities have introduced various measures to support the healthy development of enterprises. One such measure is the expansion of the scope of enterprises that are eligible to voluntarily disclose their violations and be exempted from penalties as a result of such disclosure, along with raising the upper limit of fines to one million yuan.
